LSA Design, Inc. has significant experience in the evaluation of transit systems, shared-use analysis and facility feasibility. Planning documents provide the documentation necessary for successful funding applications, governmental approvals and project development. Final products are working documents which provide achievable goals and implementation schedules. We have also gained a considerable understanding of obtaining federal funding through the FTA / FHWA ISTEA and TEA-21 grant programs for transit-oriented projects. We have secured over $50 million for projects including transportation demand management planning (TDM), bus acquisition, transit facilities and parking structures. The utilization and management of federal funds provide numerous opportunities for our effective inter-agency organizational skills.

In addition to public funding, we develop effective strategies to implement public / private opportunities. As an example, by using what is considered "program income" by the FTA, the transit facilities are able to use revenue from leased space and common area maintenance agreements for maintenance and operation of the facility. We are successful in creating partnerships and developing effective methodologies to insure successful results for our clients.
