As Senior Design Architect and Project Manager, John leads our project teams with personal commitment backed by 30 years of expertise in client management, design, project management, sustainable practices, building technology, and construction document quality assurance. He is experienced with a wide range of clients, building types, and construction delivery methods for projects in K-12 and higher education, libraries, municipal utilities, corporate offices, health care, housing and mixed-use development.

As a CSI Certified Construction Specifier, John brings a strong working knowledge of building materials, construction practices, and the contractual relationships governing project delivery. John’s passion for educational architecture produced creative designs for the new Big Lake High School and Minnesota West Community and Technical College. As Project Manager and Lead Designer for the new Princeton Middle School, he combined innovative educational design with sustainable site and building concepts.

John was the LEED-Accredited Professional and Managing Architect for Park Avenue Development by Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota, a $25 million LEED-registered project including 48 units of affordable housing and the Center for Changing Lives, LSS’ social services/outreach and community center.
