LSA Design, program manager for the SMTC, is identifying and facilitating transit-oriented development opportunities within their service area. LSA created a master plan for one location, SouthWest Village, to include a transit center (shared parking facility and enclosed passenger area), townhomes, and neighborhood commercial center.

LSA worked with SMTC to solicit and negotiate development agreements for the residential and commercial properties and set design standards. LSA created the concept design for the transit center responding to the residential neighborhoods to the east and south. LSA was also program manager for the selection of an architect and engineer for final design and construction of the transit center, which is anticipated to be completed fall 2007.
